Entry issues: A couple of people have mentioned that the online system won't allow them to enter without a day licence even though they are members. This is due to their membership expiring prior to the event. This is solved by one of two ways. 1: Renew your membership for another 12 months OR 2. Pay the day licence fee and this will be refunded later down the track when you do renew. A proper pain in the bum I know but this is the only way the MTBA system can cope. Sorry about the hassle.

The wait is over! Entries for the 2012 edition of the Blue Dragon are now open (sorry about the delay).

With Wildside filling in just 3 days and a number of people missing out I'm sure there will be a rush to secure a spot at the Dragon.
As an added incentive to enter early, all entries received prior to the end of July will go into the draw for a pair of Adidas Supernovas for each team member.

There will be a couple changes for 2012. These changes are from rider feedback and it's hoped that it will make things even smoother.

The course for both days will remain mainly unchanged. Weather and time permitting there may be a couple of extra sneaky bits.
Camping for the Friday night will now be moved to Weldborough Hotel. This means that you don't need to pack your gear up prior to the start on Saturday.
The Friday movie will also be at Weldborough. 
You will still get your entry pack with socks, drink bottle and extra goodies, plus after the event Tas Images will be posting a CD to everyone with amazing photos of the weekend. So smlie you'll be on camera.

When entering remember:
  • have your information for both you and your team mate ready.
  • make sure you pre-book and pay for your saturday and sunday breakfast for each person, support the Lions Club, they do a fantastic job.. 
  • Friday and Saturday dinner will be pre-booked directly with the Weldborough Hotel. Watch their website for details shortly.
In the next few weeks the information on the website will updated with the schedule changes. As well as Garmin files of the course, photos from previous events and some YouTube footage.

The new dates for the 2012 Blue Dragon Challenge will be the 11th and 12th of February. Entries will open on the Early of July 2011.

Don't miss this one. Entries will limited to 200 teams.
